Electric Car Less Than 3 Feet Wide

Teetering on the line between scooter and car, the new Lumeneo Smera looks to be an exciting entry into the electric car market in the near future. It's more than just a another small electric vehicle though. The Smera offers some revolutionary technology when it comes to the longevity and performance of the vehicle. With something called Controlled Tilting, the car actually shifts its cabin to automatically compensate for weight distribution while making turns on its narrow frame.

The car is said to be available for sale at the Paris Motor Show in October of 2008, and will sell for around 20,000 to 30,000 E, which translates to around $31,000 to $46,000. A bit steep for a scooter with a roof, but if the car gains in popularity and production increases, that price has a chance of going down. It's lifespan is said to be at around 124,000 miles, or 10 years, which is comparable to many of the new cars we have today.
